Privacy Policy

Who I am
This website (johnjaiber.com) is mine — John Jaiber, an independent hairstylist. I work at Salon La Bottega in Rye Brook, New York. “Hair by John Jaiber” is my own name and brand; I don’t own or run the salon. This policy explains what information I collect through this website and my sign-up form, and what I do with it.
What I collect
- What you tell me on the sign-up form: your name, email address, mobile phone number (optional), birthday month and day (optional), which treatments you’re interested in, and whether you’ve said yes to emails and/or texts.
- Notes I keep as your stylist: if you’re a client, I may keep private notes — like hair color formulas, preferences, and what we’ve done together — so I can take better care of you.
- Records of your choices: when you agree to get messages, I save exactly what you agreed to, when, which sign-up link or QR code you used, and the IP address you signed up from, so I can show your consent was real.
- Basic website data: like most websites, the servers that run this site keep standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested). I don’t use advertising or analytics-tracking cookies here. My home page shows my latest Instagram posts using Instagram’s own embed, which loads content from Instagram (Meta) and may set cookies or collect data under Meta’s own policies.
How I use it
- To keep your contact details on file and reach you the way you asked.
- To send the emails or texts you opted in to — openings, specials, hair tips, and appointment-related updates.
- To remember your birthday, and to send things relevant to the treatments you’re interested in.
- To keep my service notes, and my records of your consent.
- To run this website and protect it from spam and abuse.
Emails and text messages
I only send marketing emails or texts to people who have said yes, and saying yes is never a condition of getting a haircut or any other service. Every email will include an unsubscribe link; for texts, reply STOP at any time. You can also just tell me. Details for the text program are in the Terms of Use. I will not share your mobile number or your text-message opt-in with anyone for their own marketing.
Who I share it with
I don’t sell or rent your personal information. A few providers help me run things: the web host and Cloudflare (network delivery and security) for this site and the sign-up form; the private, access-controlled computer system where the information you submit is stored; and, once I start sending campaigns, an email and/or text-message delivery provider, which will receive only what’s needed to deliver messages you asked for. I may also disclose information if the law requires it.
How long I keep it
For as long as you’re a client or subscriber, or until you ask me to delete it. If you ask me to delete your information, I will.
Security
I keep your information on a private system with access limited to me and take reasonable steps to protect it. No method of storing or transmitting data is perfectly secure, so I can’t promise absolute security.
Your choices
You can ask to see what I have about you, correct it, or have it deleted, and you can opt out of emails and texts at any time. I offer these choices to everyone, wherever you live.
The easiest way to reach me is to call Salon La Bottega at (914) 937-5333 and ask for John, or message me on Instagram @hairbyjohnjaiber.
Children
This site isn’t meant for children under 13, and I don’t knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has signed up, let me know and I’ll delete it.
Changes
If I change this policy I’ll update the date at the top of this page. This version took effect September 18, 2026.
